For those who can subscribe to a program of annual giving, the Sustainer, Voting category welcomes book reviewers and book review editors with all the benefits accorded to regular voting members. At the Sustainer level, your dues provide critical support to NBCC’s operations and programs, including the John Leonard Prize for best first book, the Ivan Sandrof Prize for lifetime achievement, the Nona Balakian Citation for excellence in reviewing, the Emerging Critics Fellowship, which seeks to identify and nurture the next generation of critics – along with, of course, our annual reading and awards ceremony. New benefits for Sustaining members only – such as a VIP event during Awards week – are in the works! Note: This membership renews annually.
